Joplin, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern volleyball team will head to Maryville for a midweek matchup with No. 5 ranked Northwest Missouri tomorrow night. First serve from Bearcat Arena is set for 6 pm.
Southern (3-22, 0-15 MIAA) is in the final two weeks of the regular season. The Lions will take on the Bearcats (19-4, 12-3 MIAA) tomorrow night before playing host to Emporia State on Friday and Washburn on Saturday this weekend.
The Lions are led by senior setter
Sophie Mader who has 647 assists on the season, to go along with 184 digs and a team-high 19 service aces.
CC Pollard leads the offensive attack with 2.83 kills per set, while
Armyni Perales is averaging 2.35 kills per set.
Kierson Maydew has a team-high 47 blocks, while
Amelia Neels has 36 blocks and Perales has 32.
Brooklynn McCain leads the team with 3.67 digs per set, while
Emily-Kate Lonergan is averaging 2.08 per set, as well.
The Bearcats are led by Payton Kirchoefer with 3.81 kills per set, while Kelsey Havel is avearaging 3.29 per set herself. Alyssa Rezak averages 11.55 assists per set, while Hannah Koechl is leading the way with 4.58 digs per set.
