Lions Battle UCO, Lose 2-0

Edmond, Okla. – The Missouri Southern soccer program fell today 2-0 at the Tom Thompson Field to Central Oklahoma who is receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches poll.
 

The Lions (2-7-2, 1-3-0 MIAA) got a shot form Banner Williams in the first half and Jori Hays had a shot on goal in the second along with Lainey Waldron getting a shot off in the half as well. Laney Graham had two saves and Lilly Doneghue finished with six saves in the game.
 

Central Oklahoma (8-2-1, 4-0-0 MIAA) had goals from Monika McGee and Madison Linavong in the first half scoring in the 22nd and 24th minutes. Taryn Kedzoir led the team with five shots, while Linavong, Brooke Moore and Katy Tullis had two shots on goal. Kaitlyn Asher was stationed in goal for the Bronchos and finished with a save in 90 minutes of action. 
 

Up next for the Lions is Newman on Sunday at Wilkins Field, kickoff is set for 1:00 pm in Wichita, Kan.
