Amarillo, Texas – The Missouri Southern men's golf team finished eighth shot five-under par as a team in the final day of the Ryan Palmer Invite hosted by West Texas A&M at Amarillo Country Club today.
The Lions shot a blistering 279 today on the final 18 holes led by a four-under par from
Tradgon McCrae and two-under par from
Connor Williamson.
Logan Greer was at even-par 71, while
Alexander Page shot a 72 in the final 18 holes.
Overall, McCrae finished tied for tenth at 210 over 54 holes. He had six birdies in the final round and 12 overall throughout the tournament.
Jonathan Sanchez finished tied for 25
th at 215, while
Ben Epperly was tied for 34
th at 216. Williamson was tied for 37
th at 217, while Greer finished tied for 48
th at 220.
Page finished with a 54-hole total of 223, while
Ben Marckmann shot a 224.
West Texas A&M shot 15-under as a team and finished two strokes in front of second-place Cameron. Wayland Baptist was third, followed by Hutchinson CC, Garden City CC, Dallas Baptist, Odessa College, the Lions, Western Texas, Dodge City CC, Central Oklahoma, Texas-Permian Basin, and Arkansas-Fort Smith to round out the team scores.
Southern will be back at it on Oct. 18-19 as the Lions will travel to Hays, Kan. to participate in the Tiger Classic hosted by Fort Hays State University at Smoky Hill Country Club. The event will be the second MIAA sanctioned event of the season.
