Douglasville, Ga. -- The Missouri Southern men's golf team finished up the fall season with a strong showing as the Lions were 3rd as a team and
Tradgon McCrae finished fourth individually, competing in the Matt Dyas Invitational hosted by the University of West Georgia at West Pines Golf Club.
Southern had three sub 300 rounds and finished today with a 297, the lowest team score of the day. The Lions were led by McCrae as he shot a final-round 76 to finish at 216 and tied for fourth individually. McCrae was named to the All-Tournament Team.
Logan Greer had a final-round 73 to finish at 221 and tied for tenth, while
Connor Williamson shot a 72 over the final 18 holes to finish at 223 and tied for 19th.
Ben Epperly shot a 76 on the day to finish at 226 and tied for 26th, while
Jonathan Sanchez was tied for 44th after a 236 over the 54 holes.
Tusculum University finished at 876 for the tournament, seven strokes in front of the Lions. West Georgia was one stroke back of Tusculum at 877 for second, while the Lions finished third. Montevallo was fourth, followed by Newberry, Spring Hill, Emmanuel, Miles, Southern Wesleyan, North Greenville and Georgia Military.
This was the last event of the fall for the Lions. Southern will open back up in the spring for the second half of its schedule.
