Muskogee, Okla. -- The Missouri Southern men's golf team placed tenth today in the first MIAA points event of the year, as the Lions competed at the 20th Annual NSU Classic at Muskogee Golf Club.
Tristan Haltom led the way for the Lions as he shot even par on the final day of competition to finish three under for the tournament and tied for tenth individually.
Jeremy Dunham shot a final-round 77 and finished two-over to tie for 29th.

Logan Greer finished at nine and 11-over to finish tied for 64th and 73rd, while
Taylor Haltom shot a 227 to finish 14-over.
Lindenwood shot a blistering 21-under par as a team over the three rounds to win over Arkansas Tech and Central Missouri who were both 15 strokes off the lead. Northeastern State was fourth followed by Washburn, Southern Nazarene, Southwestern Oklahoma, Henderson State, Missouri Western and the Lions to round out the top ten. Central Oklahoma, Harding, Minnesota State, Oklahoma Baptist, Bemidji State, Lincoln, Southwest Baptist and Fort Hays round out the team scores.
The tournament was the first of two MIAA points events in the fall. The Lions finished as the sixth-highest scoring MIAA squad in the tournament and currently sit in sixth-place in the standings after one event.
Southern will be back in action next week as the Lions play host to the MSSU Fall Invitational hosted at Shangri-La Country Club in Monkey Island, Okla.
