Joplin, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern volleyball team will head to Arkansas today for a quartet of matches at two different schools. 

On Friday, the Lions will travel to Batesville to take on Lyon College, as well as Stephens College. First serve vs. Stephens is slated for 5 pm with Lyon to follow around 7 pm. 

On Saturday, the Lions will head south to Searcy to take on Harding University and Ouachita Baptist. First serve for Harding is slated for 9 am with OBU serving at 1 pm. 

Stephens comes into the weekend with a 3-8 overall record with wins over Science and Arts of Oklahoma, Presentation College and Trinity International. The matchup with the Lions will be the second NCAA opponent the Stars have played this season, having lost in four sets to Maryville University. 

Lyon is 6-4, but three of the four losses they have have been to NCAA D-2 or D-3 schools. The Scots lost in straight sets to Arkansas-Monticello  and Bellhaven, while losing in four each to Mississippi College and Williams Baptist (NAIA). 

The Lions and OBU faced off last weekend in Arkadelphia with the Tigers taking the match in straight sets. OBU is 7-2 on the season after going 3-1 at the Bettye Wallace Invitational last weekend. 

Harding is 7-2 on the season after taking all four matches last weekend at the SBU Invitational, as well as opening up Great America Conference play with a 3-1 win at Henderson State this week.
