Oklahoma City, Okla. - The Missouri Southern Golf team sits in a tie for 12th after the opening round of the Broncho Invitational by RCB Bank hosted by Central Oklahoma at the Gaillardia Country Club.
The Lions are tied with Harding University at +51 with a first round 339. Junior
Taylor Lansford leads Southern once again as he carded a first round of 83 (+11) and fellow junior
Cameron Hamilton carded a first round 12-over 84. Senior
Ethan Hutcheson and sophomore
Connor Neil are tied at 14-over 86 and freshman
Tristan Haltom finished day one at 17-over 89.
Central Oklahoma is leading the field with a score of 26-over (314) and seven strikes behind them are the Eagles of Oklahoma Christian (321). Lindenwood and Southwestern Oklahoma State are tied for third at 34-over 322 and Southeastern Oklahoma is two strokes back at 324 to round out the top five. Henderson State sits in sixth place with a 326 first round (+38) followed by Central Missouri and Southern Arkansas at 330 (+42) and Washburn is in ninth place one stroke back at 331. Missouri Western and Southern Nazarene are tied for 10th with a 332 (+44) followed by the Lions and Bisons. St. Thomas (Texas) sits in 14th with a first round of 340 (+52) followed by Southwest Baptist at 344 and Arkansas-Ft. Smith at 352.
