Taylor Lansford finished tied for 11th as the Missouri Southern golf team finished in a tie for 10th at the San Antonio Shoot-Out played on the TPC San Antonio ATT&T Canyons and Oaks courses Monday & Tuesday
Lansford led the Lions for the tournament carding a two day total of 154 (75-79), while sophomore
Connor Neil improved 19 spots on day two with a team low round of 76 to put him two strokes back of Lansford at 156 for the tournament hosted by Oklahoma Christian University. Junior
Cameron Hamilton finished with a 163 (80-83) with freshman
Tristan Haltom one stroke back at 164 (82-82) and junior
Trae Fairchild rounded out the team scores with a 165 (85-80).
Central Oklahoma won the event with a team total of 609, 33-over, and Russ Purser was the individual medalist with a 5-under 139 for both rounds. Host Oklahoma Christian came in second with a team score of 616 (307-309) followed by Southern Nazarene 619 (311-308) and Dallas Baptist 624 (312-312). St. Mary's rounded out the top five with a 626 (313-313) while Nebraska-Kearney (313-314) and Oklahoma Christian B (318-309) tied for sixth with 627. Rogers State was three strokes back with a total of 630 (316-314) and Illinois-Springfield finished ninth with a 635 (318-317). The Lions (319-317) and Lone Star Conference member Midwestern State (312-324) tied for 10th. Drury, 642 (320-322), and Texas A&M International, 661 (329-332) rounded out the team scores.
Southern will take a break until March 7-8 when they travel to Danville, Arkansas to take place in the David Falconer Classic hosted by Arkansas Tech at the Chamberlyne Country Club a 7,047 yard par 72 course.
