An eight-run second inning, as well as a stellar pitching performance from Payton Walker highlighted game two.

Walker went all seven, striking out seven and walking just one, while scattering four hits and allowing a single run to move his record to 6-1 on the season.

The Lions got a run in the first on an RBI single from Rall. Southern then added eight runs in the second. Chad Shannon had a three run bomb to start the scoring, and Jesse Rall added an RBI of his own. Davis then added an RBI single, and Axel Johnson finished off the scoring with a two-run double.

Hoffman hit his third home run of the day in the third, to put the Lions up 11-1 and then Southern scored three more runs in the sixth, highlighted by a two-run double from Jackson Cain

Hoffman went 2-4 with a pair of RBIs and runs scored in the game. Shannon went 1-3 with three RBIs and a run scored, while Rall drove in two and scored once. Johnson was 2-3 with a pair of RBIs, while Cain added a pair of RBIs himself.
