Ryan Buerk tied for 12th overall after day two of NCAA Division II Super Regional

Round Three Tee Times

Eureka, Mo. -- Missouri Southern junior golfer Ryan Buerk is in a tie for 12th place after two rounds of the NCAA Division II Midwest/Central Regional being played at Fox Run Golf Club in Eureka, Mo.

Buerk sits just seven strokes with one more round to play behind the leader, Michael Colgate of Nebraska-Kearney. He is the top individual golfer not playing as part of a team in the tournament.

Buerk birdied holes two and four and finished the front nine two-under par. He had two bogies and a double on the back nine before finishing with a birdie and a par to finish the day at one-over. He is three-over for the tournament.

The top team remains unchanged from yesterday as Malone has a one-stroke lead over second-place Central Missouri. Lindenwood is third, just two strokes off the lead, while Missouri-St. Louis and Tiffin are tied for fourth.

At a minimum, the top three teams and the top two student-athletes not with a team from each regional (regardless of region) will advance to the finals May 19-23, at The Meadows Golf Course in Allendale, Michigan. The remaining eight team berths will be allocated based on the regions represented in the prior year's medal-match portion of the championships, with the maximum number of teams from a given region capped at seven.

Buerk will tee off in the final round of the tournament tomorrow morning at 11:50 AM
