Maryville, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern baseball team lost a pair of extra-inning games today at Northwest Missouri, falling 2-1 in ten innings in the opener and 4-3 in ten innings in the nightcap.

The Lions (19-14, 13-13 MIAA) saw a gem pitched by David Reese spoiled as the Bearcats (18-13, 13-10 MIAA) scored a run in the bottom of the tenth to take the game.

Both starting pitchers held the opposing team scoreless through six, but the Lions got on the board in the top of the seventh on an RBI single through the left side from Logan Moon, scoring Evin Nattick.

Northwest, however, tied the game up in the bottom half of the inning when Brandon Huske was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
