Warrensburg, Mo. – The Missouri Southern Lions traveled to
Warrensburg, Mo. Thursday night to take on the Jennies of Central
Missouri in a MIAA match.
The Lions fell behind early in the first half 1-0 to the seventh
ranked Jennies, and lost to the Jennies 2-0. The Lions did
record six shots against Central Missouri with all six of them on
goal. The Lions were led by sophomore midfielder Alicia
Vonderheid with two. Junior midfielder Shannon Kuhn, junior
forward Lindi
Spilchen, junior midfielder Brianna McKenzie
and sophomore forward Cortney Sanders
each had one shot on goal.
The loss is the first in MIAA play for Lions as they fall to
2-3-1 overall and 2-1-1 in MIAA.
The Lions will be in action again Saturday at home against
Nebraska-Omaha, kick off is scheduled for noon.
