Muskogee, Okla. -- After shooting a 295 in
round one at the 2010 NSU Fall Classic, the Missouri Southern golf
team had a rough go at it in day two and shot a 306 to finish in
17th place.
Jamie
Voegeli, Jamie Newman, and
Alec Wickey
all shot a 76 on the day for the Lions' top scores, while Andy
Hogenmiller and Jared Essary both
shot a second-day 78.
Hogenmiller had the Lions' top two-day total of 147, while
Voegeli finished with a 148. Wickey had a 152, while Newman and
Essary shot a 154 and 156, respectively.
Central Oklahoma held on to take home the team title, shooting a
289 on day two and finishing seven strokes in front of second place
Central Missouri. Our Lady of the Lake was third, followed by St.
Mary's and Newman to round out the top five.
The Lions will be back in action on October 4-5 when they
participate in the second MIAA points event of the year hosted by
Missouri Western at Fairvew Golf Club in St. Joseph, Mo.
