Muskogee, Okla. -- The Missouri Southern golf
team shot a 295 today, but scores were low all around, and the
Lions sit at 16th after round one of the Northeastern State Classic
at Muskogee Country Club.

Hogenmiller shot a two-under par 69 and is tied for ninth place
overall after day one. Senior Jamie Voegeli, playing on his home
course, shot a 72, while freshman Alec Wickey shot a

Newman both shot a 78.
The University of Central Oklahoma shot a blistering nine-under
par 275 as a team to lead after day one. UCO leads second place St.
Mary's by five strokes and host NSU by seven. There is a four-way
tie for fourth at 285 with Central Missouri, Washburn, St. Edward's
and Our Lady of the Lake.
The Lions will finish up the tournament tomorrow
morning.
