Lions End Season With 3-0 Win at Southwest Baptist

Joplin, Mo. - The Missouri Southern women's soccer team ended their season today with a 3-0 win over the Bearcats in Bolivar.

 Southern got two goals from freshman forward Kelly White and one goal from sophomore midfielder Alicia Vonderheid.  Vonderheid's goal was assisted by sophomore midfielder Corrine Tebbs.  Both of White's goals were unassisted and came in the 39th and 43rd minute marks while Vonderheid's came in the 62nd minute of play.

The Lions were led on defense by junior goalkeeper Randi Russell as she saved five Baptist shots and moved to 5-7-5 for the season.

The Lions win over Southwest Baptist moves Southern to 5-8-5 overall and 5-6-5 in the MIAA.  Missouri Southern is currently sitting in fourth place in the MIAA awaiting the outcome of tonights match against #2 Central Missouri and Washburn.
