Joplin, Mo. - In the midst of heavy rain
and win, the Missouri Southern soccer team lost 6-0 today to
second-ranked Central Missouri at Hal Bodon Field in
Joplin.
Southern (3-7-4, 3-6-4 MIAA) recorded three shots, all on goal,
for the afternoon. Michelle Dimza,
Cortney Sanders, and Sarah Evers took the
shots for the Lions.
Randi
Russell, despite giving up the six scores, recorded 10 saves
against Central Missouri (14-0, 12-0 MIAA) in the 90 minutes of
play.
Missouri Southern will be in action again Oct. 28th as the Lions
head to Nebraska-Omaha,with kickoff slated at 3pm. They then return
home on Oct. 30 to host Missouri Western at 7pm.
