Missouri Southern had a strong 3-1 start to the season this weekend at the Missouri S&T Invitational. Fernanda Merancio was a dominant offensive force over four matches this weekend, averaging 2.79 kills per set, totaling 39 kills, and hitting .320 overall. Her most explosive performance came in a five-set battle against Missouri S&T, where she racked up 19 kills on a .341 hitting percentage, helping propel her team to a key victory. She recorded at least 5 kills in every match and showed remarkable efficiency, hitting over .330 in two separate matches. Merancio earned All-Tournament honors for her performance.
