Maria Dermott is entering her third year as the Athletic Academic Support Specialist at Missouri Southern in 2024.
Dermott has worked within the ACTS department for the previous three years at Southern as an Academic Success Coach and was an adjunct instructor in the Plaster School of Business at Southern for six years.
Prior to her time with Southern she worked at the University of Arkansas - Little Rock for five years as an Academic Advisor and within the Office of Development and Alumni Relations as an Annual Fund Director.
A graduate from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor's in journalism in 1991 and masters in communication in 1992.
Maria and her husband, Sharrock have two children Brady and Ryland Dermott.
