Hannah Poynor joined Missouri Southern Volleyball ahead of the 2025 season.
Poynor came to Southern after spending the 2024 campaign at Kent State.
Prior to Kent State, she helped guide Randolph-Macon to a 19-10 overall record and Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament championship match appearance in 2023.
The Yellow Jackets had a trio of all-conference selections and outside hitter Grace Parker was named an AVCA All-American for the third time. Poynor headed the program's recruiting efforts, handled logistics and assisted with opponent scouting.
She served as Director of Volleyball Operations at VCU during the 2022 season and was responsible for taking care of behind-the-scenes needs.
Prior to that, Poynor was a graduate assistant at UT Arlington for two years. Her duties with the Mavericks included travel arrangements, analytics, video coding and overseeing student managers.
Her volleyball career began as a student manager and assistant at Lamar from 2016-19, helping with video coding, opponent scouting and summer camps.
Poynor earned a Bachelor of Arts in American Sign Language from Lamar in May 2020 and completed a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from UT Arlington in December 2021.
