Biography

2011-2012: Indoor: Ran the 400m at the MIAA Championships in 1:00.41 ... Outdoor: Ran 59.3 in the 400m at the MIAA Championships ...  Took third in the 400m at the Williams/Leptad Invite in 59.45 ... Ran the 110m hurdles at the John McDonnell Invite in 1:00.03 ... Took fifth in the 400m at the Pitt State Classic in 59.21 ... Took second in the 400m at the PSU Wendy's Open in 59.35 ...

Prior to Southern: Attended Pleasant Hill High School and ran track for coach Karen Reardon. As a freshman, Parris was her team's high point winner, and was an All-County pick as both a middle distance runner and a sprinter. She has qualified for the state meet in each of her first three years at PHS and medaled twice as a junior. Parris holds the school record in the 400m, as well as the 4x200m and 4x400m relays. Also a three-year starter on the volleyball court, she helped her volleyball team to a conference championship this past season.

Personal: A hygiene major at Southern, Parris is the daughter of Larry and Sherri Kiger.
