Josie Tofpi joined the MSSU Softball coaching staff as an assistant coach in 2023 after a historic career for the Lions.
A native of Moore, Okla the four-time All-MIAA selection will go down as one of the best players to ever wear the Green and Gold after finishing her career first in runs scored (147), third in at-bats (645) and hits (220), fourth in doubles (42) and assists (462), tied for fourth in total bases (318), fifth in extra base hits (65), tied for sixth in triples (13) and RBIs (122), tied for fifth in walks (57), 11th in games played (204) and OPS (min. 190 ABs, .886), 12th in batting average (min. 190 ABs, .341), 13th in slugging percentage (min. 190 ABs, .493) and on-base percentage (min. 190 ABs, .393) and T-14th in home runs (10) among program rankings.
Tofpi was also also an All-Region selection in 2021, a three-time MIAA Academic Honor Roll member and the winner of the E.O. Virginia Humphrey Award in 2023.Â
