Jakki Schneider was named an assistant coach with the Missouri Southern Softball program on November 14, 2018.
Prior to Southern, Schneider spent two seasons as the head softball coach at Joplin High School. Prior to that, she was a member of the coaching staff at Kickapoo High School, serving as a pitching coach, while also serving as a JV coach.
Schneider also served as a student assistant coach at her alma mater, Central Missouri for one season.
A native of Nixa, Mo., Schneider graduated from Nixa High School, before going on to star at the University of Central Missouri. She holds 28 career and season records at Central, including games played, at bats, batting average, runs scored, hits, doubles, home runs, total bases, RBIs, slugging percentage, appearances, games started, innings pitched, walks, strikeouts, strikeouts per seven innings, and wins.
She was a three-time All-MIAA performer for the Jennies, while also picking up All-Region honors as a senior. She was named the Dr. Peggy Martin Award Winner as the top senior female student-athlete at Central Missouri. She helped the Jennies to a 49-16 record as a senior, including an MIAA Title, the Central Region Title and a trip to the Division II World Series.
