2011-12: Was an All-American for the Lions in the outdoor discus in 2012 ... Green started the year getting All-MIAA honors in the indoor shot put with a second place finish throwing the shot a distance of 55-1 ... he was also 7th place in the weight throw ... in the outdoor season, Green finished fourth in both the discus and the shot at the MIAA Championships ... he was a national qualifier in the discus and placed fourth with a distance of 182-2 to earn All-American honors. 

Prior to Southern: Neosho County CC (Conway Springs (Kan.) HS) – Green comes to Southern after two years at Neosho County where he was an All-American in both the discus and the hammer throw, finishing fifth and sixth at the national meet in those two events, respectively ... Green prepped at Conway Springs (Kan.) High School where he was a four-year letterwinner in track and football ... on the track, he was an All-State selection in both the shot and discus, while helping his football team to a runner-up finish in 2007 and a state championship in 2008 ... the son of Darin Green, Dustin plans to major in physical education at Southern.
