2023 - Hurst appeared in 46 games for the Lions getting the start in 18 between second base and the outfield ... Finished with a 10 hits in 55 at-bats, 11 runs scored, one double, two RBIs, drew nine walks and stole six bases in eight attempts ... Defensively had 40 putouts and four assists.
2022 - Hurst appeared in 43 games for the Lions getting the start in 35 mostly as a second basemen that saw time in the outfield as well ... Finished the season with 105 at bats, 22 hits, 15 runs scored, a double and triple, nine RBI's while going 4-of-4 in stolen base attempts and had 45 putouts and 41 assists.
2021 - Hurst appeared in 40 games for the Lions starting in 31 games mostly in the outfield and saw some time at first base ... Picked up 19 hits, three triples while scoring 13 runs and had 15 RBIs while going 10-11 in stolen base attempts ... Named onto the MIAA Academic Honor Roll ... Part of the Lions team that was in Division II, second in triples (24), ninth in triples per game (0.52), 14th in double plays turned (17), hit-by-pitches (42) and stolen bases (99). Finished 23rd in stolen bases per game (2.15), 29th in sacrifice bunts (32), 41st in double plays turned per game (0.37) and 49th in win-loss percentage (0.663). In the MIAA the Lions ranked first in double plays turned, stolen bases per game, stolen bases, triples and triples per game, second in double plays turned per game, hit-by-pitches and sacrifice bunts. Ranked third in on-base percentage (0.366) and scoring average (4.91), fourth in runs scored (226) and win-loss percentage, sixth in ERA (3.27), hits (345) and WHIP (1.46).
2020 - Didn't see any action during the season ... Named onto the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
2019 - Appeared in 28 and started in 21 games for the Lions in right field and the outfield as whole during her freshman season in the green and gold … one of four newcomers to land on the MIAA Academic Honor roll with a GPA at 3.0 or greater (3.30) … was one of six players to bat over .300 as well as one of three newcomers to do so throughout the season at a .309 clip (21-for-68) while knocking in eight runs and registering a .441 slugging and a .372 on-base percentage … finished third on the team in walks (8), sac-flies (2), and stolen bases (5), and fifth in runs scored (18) … also recorded a 1.000 fielding percentage off of 18 putouts and three assists without an error as part of a squad that put together a fielding percentage of .966 for second overall in the MIAA while being tied for the least amount of errors committed at 45 … blasted her first collegiate home run in a 12-4 victory over Nebraska-Kearney (3/18) where she was part of an offensive explosion that produced five total home runs for second most in a single game throughout the programs history … recorded a season-high three hits, including her first collegiate triple, on her way to score three runs in a 9-2 win over William Jewell (3/1) at home … she would score a season-high four runs after gaining one hit and walking a season-best three times in a 10-2 victory over Pittsburg State (3/8).
Prior to Southern - is a native of Tinker, Oklahoma where she was a four-year letterman at Carl Albert High School under head coach Collin White ... the center fielder, who also saw time at second base and short stop, earned All-Conference first team honors as a freshman outfielder before taking first-team at shortstop in her sophomore and junior years ... turned into a 5a-1 All-District first-team outfielder as a senior ... helped launch the Titans toward a 5a Regional Championship in all four years, which eventually lead to the ultimate goal of a 5a State Championship in 2017 ... in the offseason, Hurst competed in the pool by swimming in the 50 free, 100 free, 200 relay, and 400 relay for the swimming team as a two-year letter winner.Â
Personal -Â Sidnie is the daughter of Mark and Melanie Hurst and graduated with a degree in criminal justice at Missouri Southern in May of 2022.
