2012-13: Playing in eight of the Lions ten events as a junior, Maier had his highest finish at the Pittsburg State Invitational where he finished tied for 11th place carding a two-round score of 150 (+6) with rounds of 71 and 79 helping the Lions 7th as a team...Tied for 21st at the First Federal Bank Invite hosted by Henderson State at Branson Creek GC where he carded a two-round score of 152 (+10) with rounds of 78 and 74 as the Lions took 5th place as a team...Was the Lions fourth-highest finisher at the MIAA Championships where he finished with a two-round score of 158 (+14) carding two round of 79...Tied for 35th at the NSU Golf Classic where he was the Lions top finisher carding a two-round score of 154 (+10) with rounds of 79 and 75...Helped the Lions finish fourth as a team at the Dave Falconer Memorial Invite hosted at Chamberlyne Country Club in Danville, Ark., tying for 31st place carding a two-round score of 157 (+13) with rounds of 77 and 80. 

2011-12: Did not compete.

2010-11: Appeared in three tournaments in the fall for the Lions....took 16th at the MWSU Fall Invitational where he recorded a two-round score of 147 (+3)...took 38th at the MGA Regional Preview where he tailled a three-round score of 235..

2009-10: Did not compete

Prior to Southern: Four-time state qualifer in high school at Webb City High School (2006-09)...2009 All-State selection where he tied for 13th....2009 individual district champion...District team champion in 2007...

Personal: Became the youngest Ozark Amateur champion at 16....father Michael is a golf course superintendent ...Major at Southern is Business Marketing...son of Michael Maier and Stacy Cook..has older sister....born March 21,1991
