JOPLIN, Mo. - The Missouri Southern Athletic Department has announced dates for its Lion Pride Luncheons for the 2026-27 academic calendar. 
 
MSSU will host three Lion Pride Luncheons to preview the fall, winter and spring sports ahead of the 2026-27 competition seasons.
 
2026-27 Lion Pride Luncheon Schedule
Fall – Friday, Aug. 21, Noon - Featuring: Cross Country, Football, Soccer, and Volleyball
Winter – Friday, Nov. 6, Noon - Featuring: Cheer, Dance, Indoor Track & Field, Men's Basketball, and Women's Basketball
Spring – Friday, Jan. 22, Noon - Featuring: Baseball, Flag Football, Men's Golf, Women's Golf, Softball, and Outdoor Track & Field
 
Open to the general public, the Luncheon provides fans insight on upcoming Lion seasons, events in the athletic department and happenings on campus. Meet the MSSU coaches, student-athletes and connect with fellow Lions fans.
 
All three scheduled luncheons will take place at Noon, CT in room 211 of the Ron Richard Athletic Center located north of Fred G. Hughes Stadium. The cost is $15, and includes food, drink and a "Q&A" session with coaches and select players.
