KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Missouri Southern's Katie Gray has been named the MIAA Softball Hitter of the Week following a standout performance at the Alvy Early Memorial Classic.
 

Gray led the Lions to a 5-1 showing at the six-game tournament, hitting .500 with eight hits while homering in four straight games to conclude the Classic. She added two doubles, drove in 11 runs, and drew five walks, recording a hit in all six games with multi-hit performances against Southeastern Oklahoma and Southwest Baptist.

The weekend also saw Gray rewrite the Missouri Southern record book. She became the program's all-time career RBI leader with 143, surpassing Diane Miller's mark of 134 set from 1989–92, and claimed the career home run record with 30, eclipsing Dawn Grass' previous total of 28 from 2010–14.
