INDIANAPOLIS – Missouri Southern State University Director of Athletics
Rob Mallory has been appointed to the NCAA Division II Management Council, where he will represent the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) at the national level.
Mallory's four-year term will begin Jan. 15, 2027, following the adjournment of the Division II Business Session at the 2027 NCAA Convention, and will continue through January 2031.
The Division II Management Council is part of the NCAA's governance structure and is responsible for reviewing and making recommendations on legislative, administrative and policy matters affecting Division II athletics. Council members represent conferences and institutions from across the country, helping guide the division's direction and priorities.
"It's an honor to be selected to serve on the Division II Management Council," Mallory said. "I am excited to represent the MIAA and serve the Division II membership during this critical time in college athletics."
This appointment continues a history of committee service for Mallory, who has previously served on the NCAA Division II Membership Committee, Division II Football Committee, and regional advisory committees in football and baseball. Additional, Mallory currently serves as the chair of the MIAA Athletic Administrators Committee.
Mallory is in his sixth year as Missouri Southern's Director of Athletics, having begun his tenure on July 1, 2021. During his time at MSSU, the Lions have claimed 10 MIAA Championships (five regular season, five tournament).
