JOPLIN, Mo. – Missouri Southern announced Monday updates to its 2025-26 men's and women's basketball schedules.
 
Due to icy conditions in the Fort Smith, Arkansas, area, MSSU's home doubleheader set for Wednesday, Jan. 28 against Arkansas Fort Smith has been moved to Thursday, Jan. 29 to accommodate Arkansas Fort Smith's ability to travel to Joplin safely. Game times will still be at 5:30 p.m., CT (women) and 7:30 p.m., CT (men) at Robert Ellis Young Gymnasium.
 
MSSU and Pittsburg State have also agreed upon make-up dates for its postponed road doubleheader in Pittsburg, Kansas.
 
The Lion women will face PSU at 6 p.m., CT on Monday, Feb. 2, at John Lance Arena, while the MSSU men will face the Gorillas at 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 16. The doubleheader was split into a pair of stand-alone games to find the best date to accommodate all four teams with respect to their remaining regular season schedules.
 
Originally scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 24, MSSU and PSU's doubleheader was postponed due to the threat of inclement weather.
