Kiprop remained undefeated this season as he won his fifth event of the year, taking the title at the 2016 NCAA Central Region Championships ... Kiprop repeated as Central Region Champion as he outdistanced the field, winning by 1:23 over his nearest competition. Kiprop has won every event this year, including setting a new 8k record at the University of Arkansas Chile Pepper Invite ... Dating back to last year, Kiprop has won seven of the last eight events he has entered, with the lone defeat coming in the 2016 NCAA National Championships, where he was the runner-up.Â
