Makenna Yokley led the Lions offensively, averaging 12.5 points while shooting 69 percent as Missouri Southern women’s basketball picked up a pair of wins over Avila and Northeastern State. She also averaged 7.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in the two victories. Yokley opened the week with 13 points while shooting 6-for-7 from the field in MSSU’s 91-49 win over Avila on Dec. 17. She also had six rebounds and four assists. Yokley, a sophomore forward, from Owasso, Oklahoma, wrapped the week with 12 points in the 60-55 triumph over Northeastern State. She shot 50 percent from the field and 83 percent from the charity stripe with nine boards in her home state of Oklahoma.
