In his return from injury, running back Nathan Glades rushed for 93 yards on 15 carries with a pair of touchdowns to lead Missouri Southern Football to a 33-19 victory over Midwestern State on Aug. 30 at Fred G. Hughes Stadium. His one-yard score evened the contest at 7-7 before adding a 29-yard touchdown run to put the Lions up 10 (26-16). Glades, a Joplin, Missouri, native, also caught a pass for 17 yards in the season-opening victory. He led a MSSU rushing attack that totaled 285 yards against the Mustangs.
