Emily Presley, for the third-straight week, took aim at the MSSU school record and this time she came away with it, as the Lions competed at the 8th Annual David Suenram Classic in Pittsburg. Pressley had hit a height of 12-11.50 for three-straight weeks, winning the event each week, but coming just a quarter inch from tying the MSSU school record. This week, Presley went up against some stiffer competition, but came up with a new school record of 13-00.25, breaking the previous record of 12-11.75, previously held by Ciara Lipsey set back in 2010. Presley hit the mark on her only attempt at that height, but missed on each of the three attempts at the next height. She was the top collegiate athlete, trailing only a pair of professional vaulters.
