Kiprop was named the MIAA Track Athlete of the Week this week. Kiprop ran at the prestigious Mt. Sac Relays this past week in California. The freshman from Kenya competed in the Elite Invitational section of the 10k where he destroyed the MSSU record in the event by nearly 20 seconds. He finished 12th overall and was the top Division II finisher was defeated by just five Division I runners and a host of other professional athletes. He finished the race in a time of 29:20.45, which is nearly 20 seconds in front of the previous school record and currently sits second-best in all of Division II this season.
