Campbell continued his torrid pace as the Jamaican won the discus and the shot put with NCAA Automatic Qualifying marks in both and a school record in the shot put at Pittsburg State. Campbell posted a mark of 19.61m (64-04.00) in the shot to win the event and break his previous school record by nine inches. He then went on to win the discus with another AQ of 57.64m (189-01). Campbell ranks second nationally in the shot put and third in the discus.
