Buerge was selected as the MIAA Field Athlete of the Week in outdoor Track and Field. The Webb City, Mo. native won two events with two NCAA Automatic Qualifying Marks at the Central Missouri Relays.

She started things off with a win in the discus, hitting an AQ of 54.42m (178-06) that just missed her previous best mark and school record set earlier in the season and then followed that up with a win in the shot put as she eclipsed her own school record in the event with a distance of 16.21m (53-02.25), more than a foot in front of her previous best.
