Jake Landoll comes to Missouri Southern after spending a season at Northwestern State University. Landoll will be responsible for assisting Jay Thomas with the defensive line.
While at Northwestern, Landoll helped coach two All-Southland Conference players on the defensive line. Prior to Northwestern, Landoll coached the defensive line at Bethel (Tenn.) College 2010 where he developed his first all-conference selection, a second team nose guard that ranked as high as first nationally in tackles for loss and seventh in sacks. He also spent a season at his alma mater St. Mary as an assistant coach.
A three year starter on the defensive line at the University of Saint Mary (KS) from 2002 thru 2006, he was named first team all-conference as a junior and senior. He was selected All-Region as a junior and first team as a senior and received All-American honors as a senior. As a junior, he was part of a defense that posted three shutouts and finished nationally ranked in the top 10 in eight different categories. He started in the NAIA Senior Bowl and where he posted 4 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack and forced three fumblesand is the only person to play and coach in the Senior Bowl.
