Kansas City, Mo. -- Missouri Southern junior outside hitter Katie Politte has been named All-MIAA as the League announced its post season awards today.
Politte was an honorable mention selection this season and it's the second year in a row for the Washington, Mo. native to earn the honor.
This year, she led the Lions with 3.34 kills per set this year as she ammassed 304 kills in 24 matches played. She started all 24 matches, with her only time off coming while she recovered from a hand injury.
She averaged 0.45 blocks per set, which was fourth on the team and her 3.34 kills average ranked sixth in the MIAA. She also ranked fourth on the team in digs with a 2.13 per set average.
