Rolla, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern women's track and field team picked up six wins and secured four provisional marks at the Dewey Allgood invitational today, hosted by Missouri S&T.
The Lions picked up titles in the 4x100m relay with a time of 48.79, as well as in the high jump as Whitney Hardy had a provisional height of 5-07.75 to win the event. Melanie Bower won the pole vault with a provisional height of 12-03.50, while Brittani Reagan took home the title in the long jump with a distance of 18-04.50.
Jasmin Hughes finished third in the 100m dash with a time of 12.65, while Addie Mengwasser was second in the 1,500m with a time of 5:00.55. Sydney Potts placed fourth in the 800m, while Emily Paullus was fourth in the 400m hurdles.
Hughes and Kaylee Morgan placed fourth and seventh in the 200m, while the 4x400m relay team placed fourth. Shelby Sutherland and Taylor Alumbaugh were third and fifth in the high jump, while Miriah Johnson placed eighth. Ashleigh McFarland placed second in the pole vault with a height of 11-05.25, while Morgan, Shelby Newell and Paullus placed third, fifth and seventh in the long jump.
Reagan had a provisional in the triple jump with a second-place distance of 40-04.00, while Cornman was seventh in the discus and sixth in the hammer. Marlee Tegenkamp was second in the 3k, finishing just two seconds behind Baehr.
The Lions will be back in action next Friday as Southern plays host to the Bill Williams/Bob Laptad Invitational at Fred G. Hughes Stadium.
