Joplin, Mo. -- Missouri Southern women's track and field coach Patty Vavra has announced the additions of two more athletes to her recruiting class for 2013-14.
Joining the Lions are Cara Butcher-Spellman and Joni Reinkemeyer. Both are Missouri residents and both will help bolster the cross country team.

A four-year letterwinner on both the cross country and track and field teams at Helias, Reinkemeyer was a four-time qualifier in cross country and a three-time All-District selection. She helped her cross country team to three-different district championships.
On the track, she was a two-time state qualifier and was an All-District pick in the 4x800m, mile run and two mile run. She helped the Crusaders to a district championship on the track, as well. The daughter of John and Nancy Reinkemeyer, Joni plans to major in dental hygiene at Southern.
