2011-2012: Indoor: Ran 9.38 in the 60m hurdles at the MIAA Championships ... Long jumped 4.81m (15-09.5) at the UCM Classic ... Ran the 400m at the MSSU Invite in 1:05.7 ... Outdoor: Ran the 100m hurdles in 15.04 & 400m hurdles in 1:09.22 at the MIAA Championships and also competed in long jump with a distance of 5.35m (17-06.75) ... Took second in the 400m hurdles (1:06.75) and sixth in the 100m hurdles (14.93) at the Williams/Leptad Invite ... Took fourth in the 100m hurdles (15.3) and fifth in the 400m hurdles (1:07.46) at the Pitt State Classic, also competed in long jump with a jump of 5.24m (17-2.25) and triple jump of 10.75m (35-3.25) ... Took ninth in the long jump with a jump of 5.39m (17-8.25) while triple jumping 10.71m (35-1.75) at the Emporia State Relays ... Took third in the 400m hurdles (1:09.94) and fourth in the 100m hurdles (15.65) at the PSU Wendy's Invite, also took third in the triple jump with a jump of 10.94m (35-10.75)...  

Prior to Southern: Mead was a four year letterwinner on the track at CJHS where she was a hurdler and jumper for the Bulldogs ... a state finalist in both the hurdle events this past year, Mead holds the school records in the 100m and 300m hurdles, as well as being a member of a record-setting 4x400m relay team.

Personal: the daughter of Jeff and Lauri Mead, Taitum plans to major in physical education at Southern.
