Emily Paullus finishes second at Emporia State Multis

Emporia, Kan. -- Missouri Southern freshman Emily Paullus placed second in the heptathlon at the Emporia State Relays today. 

Paullus placed third in the long jump (16-10.75), 100m hurdles (15.57) and the 200m (26.66). She was fourth in the javelin with a distance of 83-9, while placing sixthi n both the 800m (2:40.14) and the high jump (4-9.75). She placed seventh in the shot put with a distance of 28-8.5. 

Nebraska-Kearney's Brandi Winchester won the event with 4187 points, while Paullus placed second with 4108 points. 

The Lions will be back in action this weekend traveling to Pittsburg State.
