Joplin, Mo. - Missouri Southern women's basketball interim head coach Ronda Hubbard has announced the signing of Jordan Dinyer for the 2014-15 season.
A three-year starter for the Hallsville High School Indians and coach Brad Blakemore, Dinyer enters her senior year this winter having earned all-conference, all-district and all-area honors during her career. She has been named the best offensive player as well as the most outstanding player during her prep career. In addition to her individual accolades, Dinyer has also been a part of two state tournament teams as the Indians finished third in the state tournament her freshman and sophomore years.
In addition to her play on the basketball court, Jordan has been a three-year letter winner in volleyball playing middle hitter for coaches Ashley Bennett and Monica Melton where she earned all-conference and all-district honors while also being named the Player of the Year. The daughter of Matt and Sharlana Dinyer, Jordan plans to study special education at Southern.
Coach Hubbard compares Dinyer favorable to recently graduated forward Erin Rice, who finished her career in the top ten in scoring, "For those Lion fans that enjoyed watching Erin Rice play, they are going to LOVE Jordan. At 6-1 she has the ability to come out and shoot the 3, take it off the dribble and post up. Jordan is going to be a very versatile player for us that we are going to be able to use in a multitude of ways."
