2012-13: Starting all 26 games that she appeared in for the Lions at center as a junior, Clay averaged 7.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game while averaging 21.2 minutes per contest...Shot 46.2%(79-171) from the field on the year while connecting on 70.9% (39-55) of her free throws...Finished second on the team in rebounds with 133 while leading the team in offensive boards with 58...Her 79 field goals and 171 field goals attempts both ranked third on the team..Finished second on the team in blocks with 18...Shot a team-best 46.3% (50-108) from the field in the Lion's 18 MIAA games...Recorded nine double figure games, including notching a double-double in her first career game as a Lion at the Pitt State Tip-Off Classic against Mary scoring 12 points while grabbing 10 rebounds...Scored a season-high 17 points while grabbing eight rebounds in a win over at Lincoln...Scored 13 points to go along with six rebounds and two assists in a win over Evangel at the Fairfield Inn/ Pizza Hut Thanksgiving Classic....Went a perfect 5-for-5 from the field scoring 12 points to go along with grabbing seven boards in the Lions win at Lindenwood.
At Minnesota: As a freshman, Clay played in three games for the Division I Gophers. Last season as a sophomore, she saw action in eight games and earned a spot on the Academic All-Big Ten Team, while helping the team to the Women's Basketball Invitational (WBI) Title.
In High School: Played at Von Steuben High School in Chicago where she was a 2010 graduate and an All-State honoree, she scored 49 points in a playoff game against Taft and had 34 points and 27 rebounds in a triple overtime win over Racine Case. She was also MVP of her volleyball team and lettered in soccer. An honors student, she averaged 21 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks a game as a senior.
Personal: A mass communications major at Southern with her emphasis in journalism...daughter of Jerald Davis and Sherri Blumningburg.
