Prior to Southern: Venson spent the 2011-12 season at Division I Grambling State University ... As a freshman at GSU, Venson had six starts and averaged 2.8 points and 1.8 rebounds per game ... she led the team in field goal percentage, shooting at a .429 clip. 

In High School - A four-year letterwinner on the basketball court at Fayetteville High School in Georgia, Venson averaged five points and five rebounds while helping her team to a state championship her senior campaign ... She was also a golfer. 

Personal - The daughter of Phillip and Kendra Venson, Bria is a business management major at Southern.
