In 2014: Hester started 26 games for the Lions in centerfield as a sophomore before being sidelined by a foot injury after a doubleheader at Missouri Western on March 30...Hit .241 from the plate collecting 20 hits in 83 at-bats scoring 11 runs...Totaled 21 total bases while slugging .253 and on-base percentage of .323...Stole a team-high 15 bases in 16 attempts...Notched five multi-hit games, including going 2-for-3 with a double scoring three runs and driving in one along with a walk and a stolen base in a win over Concordia St.-Paul at the Missouri Western Softball Tournament...Named to MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2013: Starting all 50 games for the Lions in center field, Hester was named All-MIAA honorable mention after finishing the season third in the conference in stolen bases with 25 swipes. Ranked third on the team with a .306 batting average while ranking second on the club in hits with 53 while scoring a team-high 41 runs in the leadoff role. Tied for the team lead in triples with four. The Wildwood, Mo. native scored a season-high four runs in Southern's 14-13 victory over Southern Nazarene at the Five State Classic while also stealing a season-high five bases. Hester also had nice performances on the year in the Lions' 11-8 extra-inning win at Pittsburg State hitting a three-run double and in a 12-0 win at Lindenwood where she collected three hits, including a three-run triple while also scoring a pair of runs.

In High School: Was a three sport star for the Lady Wildcats at Eureka High School, lettering in track and field along with basketball and softball...set school records in the 4x100 and 4x200 relays her junior year...on the diamond she earned two first team All-Conference, All-District, and All-Region honors her junior and senior campaign, while helping the Lady Wildcats to conference, district, and sectional championships and a fourth place finish at the state tournament her senior year...while playing for the St. Louis Fusion she was a part of three tournament championships, two runner-ups, and led the Fusion in stolen bases.
