Southern softball set to host the 2013 Border Battle Saturday and Sunday
Joplin, Mo. - Getting off to a 11-4 start to the season, the Missouri Southern softball team is set to make their home debut this weekend hosting the 2013 Border Battle inviting six teams to Lea Kungle and Wild Fields at the Robert W. Plaster Sport Complex.
The Lions will welcome MIAA conference members Pittsburg State, Missouri Western, Central Missouri and Nebraska-Kearney along with Upper Iowa and William Jewel for 15 games over the two days.
The Lions will kick off play Saturday taking on Central Missouri at 2 pm before playing Upper Iowa at 4 and 6 pm. The Lions will play two more games on Sunday taking on Nebraska-Kearney at noon and Pittsburg State at 2 pm.
