Kansas City, Mo. - Senior pitcher Hannah Cooke was named MIAA Softball Pitcher of the Week today, as announced by the conference office.

Helping the Lions sweep a double-header against Newman Saturday, Cooke, a senior from San Ramon, Calif., threw a complete game six-hitter only allowing two runs, one earned in a 6-2 win over the Jets. She would record a 1.00 ERA while holding Jets hitters to a .222 batting average on the afternoon.

She is now 2-0 on the year in five appearances with a 2.62 ERA in 21.1 innings with four starts, two complete games, including a shutout surrendering only eight earned runs while holding opponents to a .241 batting average.  This is Cooke's second player of the week award after earning one as a last spring as a junior.
