In 2013: Playing in 18 games, including starting six at designated player for the Lions, Stearns had a pair of hits on the year in games against Oklahoma Christian and Rockhurst scoring three runs.

In High School: Was a three sport star for the Lady Eagles of Pierce City High School...Sara helped the Lady Eagles to two conference and district championships her junior and senior years while helping PCHS to a state sectional title during that junior campaign...was a four time All-Conference first team selection, a four time All-District first team selection, a two time All-Region first team selection, a two time All-State second team selection, a three time team MVP award winner, and was the 2010 and 2011 Tri Rivers Conference Player of the Year...hit for a .495 average with 48 RBIs, 17 doubles, seven triples, and nine homeruns.  Those nine homeruns and 48 RBIs set single season records for PCHS.
