In 2013: Appearing in 40 games in left field for the Lions as a junior, Brown made 30 starts on the year hitting .256 from the plate. Collected 23 hits in 90 at-bats scoring 17 runs. Hit seven doubles and one home run on the year totaling 33 bases. One of only two Lions with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage. Hit a pair of walk-off game-winning doubles in two of the Lions' final four games hitting a two-out three-run double in Southern's 3-2 win over Central Missouri and a one-out two-run double in the Lions' 9-8 win over Southwest Baptist. Hit a solo home run against Lincoln. Hit a pair of doubles driving in two runs in the Lions' 6-2 win over Newman.
In 2012: As a sophomore, Brown made 28 appearances for the Lions, making 19 starts in left field... hit .135 on the year, including a pair of doubles... had a solid-fielding percentage of .969 with 28 put-outs.
In 2011: Appeared in 15 games for the Green & Gold with 15 at bats and one home run.
In High School: Brown was a four sport star for the Lady Bulldogs...during her sophomore campaign earned All-conference, outstanding offense, and MVP players choice awards...junior campaign was honorable mention All-Conference while helping the Lady Bulldogs to a softball state title.
Personal: a Kinesiology major at Southern...born August 20, 1992 in Texarkana, Texas...daughter of Thad and Julie Brown...has one brother, Cade.
